This came in a circular issued by the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, pursuant to the provisions of Article 74 of Federal Law No. 08 for the year 1980 regarding the regulation of labour relations, as amended, which determines the holiday of the private sector as the first and second day of the month of Shawwal.

If Eid Al Fitr falls on Friday, June 15, then the holiday will last until Sunday, June 17.
